Thinking about religious traditions, Paul writes, “These are a shadow of the things to come, but the reality belongs to Christ.” Paul was pointing out that the Old Testament law, together with its traditions, was simply a shadow reflecting the true reality of God’s righteousness as found in Christ. Paul was a devout Jew, yet he says that whatever credit he gained in his religious observances, he counted as nothing compared to the reality of knowing Christ.

Romans 8:5
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit

The Bible tells me that, although perfect, the Law was weakened by my sinful nature. But Jesus was not sinful! Therefore, he fulfilled the requirements of the Law and bore the consequences of breaking the Law by dying on the cross. Therefore, only in Christ, who is the reality, are we no longer condemned by the Law but are set free to live out his righteousness by the Spirit.God-tracking is following the reality of Christ.
