How does it make you feel to know that Christians and Jews are the most persecuted people in the world? I believe the reason for this is that Christians and Jews are worshipers of the one true God. Because the world is under the curse of sin, where Satan is lord, a battle exists between good and evil. Satan hates God’s people and will do all he can to wipe them from the face of the earth. As Christians, we are particularly persecuted because Satan continually attempts to undermine Christ’s victory over him at Calvary.
Romans 8:31
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
At the cross, Jesus, who was sinless, humbled himself and became sin for us so that, in him, we could become God’s righteousness. At the cross, Jesus triumphed over sin, death and Satan, making a public spectacle of the forces of evil.
Remember, God is on your side and if God is for you, who can be against you?
