And, in my experience He does in the most unexpected ways. The first time I heard of Lisa, I was greatly moved by her testimony of overcoming heartache and loss… She was sharing on GOD TV’s MissionsWeek about how God had transformed her life following the heartbreak of the loss of her son. Lisa knew God was speaking directly to her. She was ready to take her life and the suicidal thoughts suddenly disappeared. I think In The Blink of an Eye has great appeal especially for women. However it will resonate with anybody who has been in a broken relationship, that there is hope for happiness, even if it seems impossible.
I received the second book, Paving the Way in the post and was amazed at how thick it is, all 500+ pages. It has a very striking cover that immediately draws you into the story. I think Open Scroll have done a brilliant job with the design and editing of the original manuscript and given the story widespread appeal.
There is much more to the story than romance of course and it will bring healing into the lives of people who have had a relational break up or think true love is impossible. Each book has its fair share of golden spiritual nuggets that will delight believers and spur non-believers on to discover more of the spiritual world we live in. We all know life is full of enemy pitfalls and traps, and how we can look to God to overcome these and deliver us. Many more need to hear this crucial message.
For me these books from Lisa Labon capture a story of great hope in the middle of despair, unimaginable grief and heartbreak.
