“Jesus died and rose again to make a way for you and me to have all the rubble of our lives removed. By his grace, Jesus desires to build his new purposes on your old land.”

Matthew 7:24 (ESV)
“Therefore, whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
A story is told of a man who owned an old warehouse. It was a grand old structure but in severe disrepair. The windows were smashed, the walls were cracked and roof panels were missing. Vandals had scrawled graffiti on the external walls and the yard was littered with rubbish. A buyer showed interest in the property.

Take me as I am. Today I choose to build my life on your words.
“Dear God, I admit my life is in a mess. I realise now, that I don’t have the wherewithal to fix it. Dear God, I give it to you. I open the door and ask that you come in and clear out all the rubble and restore integrity in me. I admit to my sin and wrong and seek your forgiveness. Lord Jesus, come into me as I give myself to you. Take me as I am. Today I choose to build my life on the foundation of your words. Amen.”
