As you face opposition or conflict be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways.

After God had inflicted 10 vile plagues on the Egyptians, the Pharaoh of Egypt was finally persuaded to release the Hebrews from slavery. Euphoric, the Jews exited Egypt and began their trek across the Arabian wilderness. But the Pharaoh had a change of mind and sent his army to apprehend the fleeing Hebrews. They fled on foot until they reached the Red Sea. Confounded in their escape, the Jews were entrenched in fear. Fight or flight. If they fought against an armed force, they would surely all perish. If each man and his family dispersed into the desert, they would surely die of exposure. Which would it be?

“Do not be afraid. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will accomplish for you today,” said Moses. A great miracle ensued. Moses lifted his staff over the deep waters of the Red Sea and they parted to the left and to the right. God’s people crossed on dry ground. When the enemy attempted to follow, the waters returned and they were obliterated.
Exodus 14:13-14
And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today… The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
God’s word to you today: Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. The Lord will fight for you. Your God, in you, is greater than your enemy. And your enemy comes in many guises. Even Satan can appear as an angel of light. Remember, your fight is not against flesh and blood but against evil forces in heavenly realms. And here’s the good news – Jesus conquered these forces when he triumphed over them at Calvary. So, as you face opposition or conflict be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways.
