Discover how God is blending ministry and marketplace in this new era of Kingdom business. Be inspired to rise up and take your place in culture and commerce.
Across the UK and indeed across the nations God is calling His people to rise up and take their place. This isn’t just about stepping forward in church leadership or traditional ministry roles. It’s a broader, deeper invitation: to live with purpose, to lead with conviction and to bring Kingdom influence into every sphere of life including the marketplace.
In a recent message delivered in Sweden, UK-based speaker and strategist Steve Pailthorpe laid out a compelling vision for the Church at this time of change. (See video below)
With clarity and conviction, Steve declares “We are on the cusp of something new – a new model where ministry and marketplace combine, where prayer and planning meet, where revival and reformation exist in one place. This is the new wineskin that God is bringing to the Church.”

This is a strong word that resonates with what many across the Church in the UK are sensing. Business, once seen as a secular space, is being reimagined as a powerful mission field. Entrepreneurs are being stirred with bold ideas that serve both people and Kingdom purpose. And church leaders are recognising that strategic planning and Spirit-led revival can, and should, walk hand-in-hand.
Take your place
Steve Pailthorpe’s message isn’t abstract or distant. It’s personal. He challenges every believer to consider: “What is God’s call on your life?” It’s time to rise up. It’s time for you to take your place in the world God has put you in.” This isn’t a message for a select few. It’s a wake-up call to the Body of Christ to stop waiting for permission and instead step into God’s assignments, wherever they may be. Whether in boardrooms or classrooms, tech start-ups or creative industries, God is raising up men and women who will carry His presence and His principles into the heart of culture.
Ministry meets marketplace
One of the most striking elements of Steve’s message is his emphasis on the divine convergence between ministry and marketplace. “There is a blending that God is doing between marketplace and ministry that brings the whole thing together to bring about transformation.”
This convergence, is not accidental. It’s strategic. It’s how cities will be reached, how poverty will be addressed, how cultural renewal will take root. God is raising Kingdom entrepreneurs, Spirit-led strategists and purpose-driven professionals, not to sit on the sidelines, but to lead the charge.
Enlarge the tent
Steve reminds us that God’s plans are far greater than our own: We have to come to a realisation that God wants to use each of us personally – that He has a plan for each of us that is much bigger than we ever thought. As the scripture says: ‘Enlarge the place of your tent.’” This verse challenges every believer. It invites growth and it calls us to break small thinking and make space for what God wants to do through us.
A Word for now
In a time when many are seeking clarity about their calling and purpose, messages like this are vital. They remind us that the Kingdom of God is not confined to a Sunday gathering – it’s lived out in how we build, lead, invest and serve throughout the week.vAs the Church steps into this next era, it will take both vision and courage. But the invitation is clear: rise up, and take your place.
