Wherever you find yourself today, whatever your circumstance, if you continue to acknowledge God in all your ways then he will keep you on track with his will.
I’ve been a follower of Jesus for the best part of 50 years and I have always found him true to his word. Jesus himself said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.” We know that God watches over his word and his word never returns to him without producing the fruit of his purpose. Therefore, I know, from experience, that when God says all things work out for the good of those who love him, he means all things.
Years back when my family and I moved from South Africa to England I needed work. For a year after we arrived on the fair green shores of England, I was unemployed. In my attempt to find a job, I applied to a Christian ministry who were advertising for a media person. I was a good fit for the job and had two very good interviews for the role. All look promising but then, after the third interview, they said, “No.” Back to square one. No job, no future, no income. How could this ever work out for my good?
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
After my final interview and my rejection, I went for a walk in a forest near the office where I was interviewed. “Why, Lord?” I moaned. “I was convinced this was my job. Why did they turn me down after three interviews? Why did you bring me all the way here just for me to be rejected?” In an instant I heard the answer of the Holy Spirit, “You are here because you are on track with my plan for you.”
Suddenly, it all made sense. Wherever I find myself in life, if I acknowledge God in all my plans and decisions, I will find myself on track with the plans he knows he has for me. All things work together for his will. Now, 27 years later, this experience is the root for the devotional you are reading. GodTracker is all about staying on track with the plans God knows he has for you, wherever they may lead you.
Wherever you find yourself today, whatever your circumstance, if you continue to acknowledge God in all your ways then he will keep you on track with his will. All things will work together for the good of those who love God, those who are called according to his purpose.
God-tracking is trusting God’s “all things.”
