This is the hour to discover your purpose in life. Now is the time. Every minute of your life was penned for you in God’s book of your life before you were born.
I recently heard a good sermon about making the most of our time. The message was based on Ephesians 5 verse 16, which tells us to redeem the time because the days are evil. The verse is followed by the words, “do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” Godtracking is all about following and remaining in the will of God. Therefore, we need to make the most of our time with godly wisdom because every minute counts in sharing God’s love and His goodness in a wild and perverse generation.
I often look back and wonder what it must have been like to live at various times in history. When was the best time to live – during the days of Jesus, during medieval times, before the First World War or immediately after the Second World War? But then I remember what the scripture says about my times: He knows my sitting down and my rising up; He is acquainted with all my ways; He covered me in my mother’s womb and in His book were written all the days fashioned for me before one of them came to be.
Psalm 139:16
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in your book, they all were written, the days fashioned for me when as yet there were none of them.

Now is the time. This is the hour to discover your purpose in life. Every minute of your life was penned for you in His book of your life before you were born. God knows what He is doing in your life and He is doing it by his grace. Grace is God’s doing. His grace is sufficient to see you through every trial and every upheaval of this generation. Make the most of every moment by sharing His love, seeking His face and praising His name. He who was and who is and who will be is already in your tomorrow, meeting your needs and preparing your way. So, acknowledge God in all your ways, seize the day and have the time of your life
Prayer to discover your purpose in life
Pray this prayer and trust God to reveal to your purpose in life.
“O Lord, I praise you that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I praise you that You have designed my life according to the plans you know you have for me. Today, I seek your will and acknowledge you in all my ways. I place my trust squarely in the sure knowledge that you have given me life, at this time, for your purposes. Help me to find my purpose in life and live it out in confidence of your will and to make the most of every opportunity to share your love in these days. Amen.”
